2017年に開始された小型スペースプレーンプロジェクトで当初2020年に試験飛行を計画していた。当時BoeingはNGCとMasten Spaceとの入札に勝って受注。受注額は$146Mで自社投資が条件。2018年7月にBoeingが採用を決めたAerojet Rocketdyne社のAR-22エンジンの燃焼試験結果が公表されて以来、情報は開示されていなかった。

Following a detailed review, Boeing is ending our role in the Experimental Spaceplane (XSP) program immediately. We will now redirect our investment from XSP to other Boeing programs that span the sea, air and space domains.
